Who is it?

Pacôme Vexlard grew up in the Vosges, which remains the leading paper-making department in France, even if the crisis continues to shake up the centuries-old industry of this land of water and forests. In this territory where many companies struggle and resist, Pacôme understood very early on that he would have to innovate, be curious, question himself, take on daily challenges, if he wanted to bring his dreams to life.

In 1998, Pacôme was 22 years old. He joined a higher education course in communications and joined the Le Studio V agency, a young start-up which designs websites for CAC 40 companies, media groups, institutions, government services and the Prime Minister. Absorbed by the discovery of new technologies and professional meetings. Very quickly, he participated in the emerging adventure of video distribution on the Internet, developed content, and advised the ever-increasing number of companies, which demanded a site in their image but were apprehensive of this new medium. Pacôme thus trains his eye in graphic codes, forges his sense of aesthetics, sharpens his creativity and his artistic sensitivity.

In 2006, when he was given the opportunity to collaborate with CharlElie Couture whose compositions and texts he knows, Pacôme seizes the opportunity with his usual generosity and curiosity. It becomes agent developer and producer of this polymorphous and demanding artist. Once again, he immerses himself, observes, and assimilates the visual work of the “multist” artist. He participates in musical artistic orientations: choice of titles and musicians, creation of albums, production of concerts, and also manages the image of the artist and his public relations. Pacôme provokes a meeting between two artists that he values and thus sets up a collaboration between CharlElie Couture and Benjamin Biolay, in 2014, the latter will produce a major album by CharlElie Couture for which he obtains the support of the major Universal Music and which is praised by the press. Pacôme also fights to have the works of the visual artist he represents recognized and it was in 2015 that he produced with success of the retrospective exhibition dedicated to CharlElie Couture at the Espace Poirel in Nancy, a major event noted by the art historian and journalist for the daily Le Monde, Harry Bellet.

Pacôme also operates in the fields of marketing and publishing, sectors to which he is still attached since he occasionally supports the best sommelier in the world. Enrico Bernardo in some of his projects, notably the publishing of works to be published in 2021 and 2022. His passion for discovery and taste for wine are not foreign to this friendship.

It was in 2014 that Pacôme Vexlard was offered a new challenge: take over Imagerie d’Epinal, rediscover the world of paper, safeguard the heritage of a region that is close to his heart, his own. He tackles it with courage, relaunches the activity of the historic workshop, brings to life the lithographic stones and the printing presses, the souls of the house, imagines a new scenography to bring the company to life, created a range of stationery distributed in France, Japan and the United States. He developed a series of works including one illustrated encyclopedia published by Le Chêne, creates collaborations with the weekly Le 1, and constitutes a new pool with the greatest illustrators seduced by the new artistic direction that he breathes into Imagery. Thanks to him Tomi Ungerer, Serge Bloch, Jochen Gerner or Jacques de Loustal, take the path of Imagery. It forms a partnership with the Ecole Supérieure d’Art de Lorraine and allows young creators, such as Simon Bailly, to launch and be detected by Les Echos, Libération and the New York Times. Then, after letting the artists enter the Imagery, he brings out the Images with more than 200 new creations until 2018.

From 2015, he imagined dusting off the iconographic collection in the world dedicated to decoration and contacted wallpaper and fabric manufacturers. He launches prototypes then develops a collection, setting up deep forests or colorful birds on our interior walls. It is also an opportunity for him to launch a collaboration with the brand La Commune de Paris which designs and produces chic items for men, accessories, decorative objects and other curiosities. He will also be able to raise awareness of the prestigious brand Hermes to the formidable iconographic collection of Imagerie d’Epinal to give birth to a collection of silk squares and accessories.

The Quinsaï brand renews the genre of wall covering to offer sumptuous panels that invite you to travel and contemplate.
